# Citadel Token $CTD Overview

The Citadel Token (CTD) is the backbone of the platform’s financial ecosystem. Its main utility lies in staking on models and earning rewards for high-performance predictions.

**Token Uses:**

* **Model Staking**: Data scientists stake CTD on their models, adding a risk/reward dynamic.
* **Rewards**: The most accurate predictions earn CTD tokens.
* **Governance**: CTD holders can vote on critical aspects of Citadel’s development and policies.

**Token Distribution:**

* **Model Rewards**: 50% of the supply is reserved for rewarding model creators.
* **Development**: 20% allocated to ongoing development.
* **Liquidity**: 20% for providing liquidity on decentralized exchanges.
* **Community Incentives**: 10% reserved for airdrops and community participation.
